It may be that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but word of the upcoming World Crypto Conference (WCC), to be held October 29-31, 2019, is already out. Hosted by event management company EVOLV, the Second Annual Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Technology conference will take over two levels of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
The Cosmopolitan boasts 150,000 square feet of convention space, as well as a casino that stretches over 110,000 square feet. The event is expected to attract application developers; advisory, auditing and academic institutions; executives and enthusiasts; financial service providers; investment firms; and traders, as well as government policy advisors and, of course, startups with blockchain-based business models. The event will be part of a series to be held during Vegas Blockchain Week 2019, from October 25-31, 2019, also being hosted by EVOLV.
For three days, World Crypto Conference will educate and bring participants up to date with thought-provoking panel discussions, cutting-edge product demos and insightful addresses by keynote speakers, including a roster of movers and shakers in the crypto space. WCC will encompass a series of events, including a main conference, multiple blockchain developer conferences, a mining conference, educational workshops, an allocation lounge, networking events and more.
A good turnout from the consultant community is expected. Adriana Diener-Veinott, managing director at Accenture in San Francisco and the firm’s global lead for freight & logistics services, will be in the lineup. Diener-Veinott, an expert in cargo process re-engineering, founded and successfully led a global freight management solutions company. Guenther Dobrauz from PwC Zurich will also speak. His widely anticipated address will focus on the work he is doing to incorporate digital technologies, including blockchain, into legal practice. Bitnation legal adviser Sonja Prstec will also be on hand to offer updates on her company. Bitnation is the world’s first decentralized borderless voluntary nation. The pioneering platform has hosted the world’s first blockchain marriages, birth certificates and refugee emergency IDs, among other records.
There’s no doubt that the word about WCC is out. Participation for the event is expected to double, from 2,471 in 2018 to a projected 5,500 attendees this year.
