O’Cannabiz Conference & Expo to Feature Industry Awards Gala

On its return to Toronto, Canada’s premier cannabis event will be paying tribute to the cannabis community’s crème de la crème at its annual awards gala. This extravagant affair will honor the top cannabis professionals and companies for excellence and innovation and will serve as a fitting conclusion to O’Cannabiz Conference & Expo, set for April 23-25, 2020, at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, just outside of Toronto.
The three-day conference and expo will include a business conference with hundreds of industry exhibits, and it will also incorporate a retail zone with dozens of products available for sample and sale. With more than 7,500 members of the growing cannabis community expected to attend, conference goers can look forward to an abundance of networking opportunities as they explore the expo and attend the awards gala and the lavish VIP after-party. The O’Cannabiz Industry Awards Gala will take place from 7:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Aviation Hall B at the International Centre. The event will be hosted by Gerry Dee, host of Family Feud Canada and star of award-winning sitcom Mr. D. The prestigious gathering will also include cocktails and an after-party.
The O’Cannabiz VIP Business Conference has lined up an amazing cast of influential figures to address attendees, including John Conroy, William Sharpe and Tom Zuber. Conroy is a barrister and solicitor who specializes in criminal defense matters. He graduated from the University of British Columbia Law School in 1971 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1972.

He is an expert in the beverage industry and has held many senior positions during his career with Canada Dry, including serving as general manager operating bottling plants in the major markets of Ontario and Western Canada.
Zuber is a founder and managing partner of Zuber Lawler, a law firm with extensive areas of practice. Zuber has been representing cannabis companies for more 12 years.
