Channelchek Microcap Equity Research Report Contest – An Opportunity for College Students

  • The Channelchek Annual Microcap Equity Research Report Contest is a chance for college students to compete and win $7,500 in prize money (with an additional $5,000 going to the winner’s school), an all-expenses-paid trip to the 16th annual NobleCon investor conference, a paid internship with Noble Capital Markets and more
  • The College Challenge also provides an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about the financial world – Wall Street – by completing an equity report for entry
  • The contest is being sponsored by several high-profile companies, including Nasdaq (NASDAQ: NDAQ), E.W. Scripps (NASDAQ: SSP), Tribune Publishing (NASDAQ: TPCO), Salem Media Group (NASDAQ: SALM), Kelly Services (NASDAQ: KELYA), Noble Capital Markets and NetworkNewsWire
The College Challenge, which offers students prize money of $7,500 and $5,000 for his or her school, is the first international college research report competition offering a multi-facetted prize for the winner. It is of no surprise that the Challenge is already attracting much attention. In addition to receiving prize money, the winner will be offered a paid internship in the Noble Capital Markets’ research department, an expense-paid trip to South Florida to attend to the 16th annual NobleCon investor conference at the flagship Hard Rock in South Florida and a video of their presentation ceremony broadcast on the NASDAQ Tower in Times Square, New York City.
Students must be registered at any institute of higher learning located in Canada, the United States or the Caribbean. Contestants may select any company of the more than 6,000 listed on Channelchek.com. Research reports submitted must address specific sections, including an executive summary, investment appraisal, overview of the industry and competitive position, financial analysis, a management and corporate governance overview, a risk assessment, a stock valuation, a market rating and a price target. Eligible participants have until December 15, 2019 to register with the deadline for all submissions set for January 17, 2020.
Entries will be judged by accredited, FINRA-licensed and S.E.C.-registered senior equity research analysts from Noble Capital Markets. In addition to Noble’s participation, sponsors of the Challenge include Scripps (best known for the National Spelling Bee), Tribune Publishing (which will support the Challenge through newspaper advertisements), Salem Media Group (which is providing radio advertising in more than 100 markets across the United States), NASDAQ (which will be featuring the Challenge on their full-building video-wall in Times Square), Kelly Services and NetworkNewsWire.
