Whether you’re a blockchain zealot or just a beginner, consider making your way to Philly in September for Coinvention 2019. The event, scheduled for the last two days of summer, is meant to promote co-invention in crypto technologies. Its organizers believe that the best way to foster development in the industry is through large-scale meetups like Coinvention that gather actors in the blockchain ecosystem under one roof. In that spirit of cooperation and collaboration, Coinvention returns to the historic Loews Hotel in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – the same venue as last year’s event. With this encore, Coinvention is once again offering a unique opportunity to network with fellow developers, entrepreneurs, investors and others working in the blockchain space.
Opening day – Friday, September 20 – will be devoted to a free hackathon and meetup. The Co.Invent Hackathon, which will feature an explosion of ideas and activity, gets going at 2:00 p.m. Then, from 4:00-5:30 p.m., Samson Williams, a keynote speaker at Coinvention 2019, will conduct a masterclass exploring the confluence of cannabis, crypto and crowdfunding. His discourse will address how to raise capital for cannabis enterprises using the new Reg CF for regulated crowdfunding. After that, there will be time to relax at the networking mixer, from 6:00-10:00 p.m.
On Saturday, September 21, Coinvention 2019 resumes with a talk on ‘Doing Business in Dubai’, which runs from 8:00-9:30 a.m. From 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the conference really gets going with a series of presentations, demonstrations and discussions. Thirty-two speakers, including Sir John Hargrave of Media Shower, Robert Beadles of Monarch Blockchain Company and John Kim of the Litecoin Foundation, are currently slated to take the podium to discuss developments in the blockchain industry. Presentations will be segmented, with three or four keynote addresses followed by Q&A, eight STO/ICO displays, several panel discussions and spotlight demos.
The day will close with the ultimate blockchain bash, aptly named ‘Coinvent at the Party’. However, that’s not the end. The Co.Invent Hackathon doesn’t actually conclude until Sunday, September 22, at 2:00 p.m.
